At long last, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie is available in HD!
While the film isn’t available on Blu-ray, the classic 1995 film is now available in 1080p quality on both Amazon (click here) and HBO Now.
And although dedicated Power Rangers fans will continue to eagerly clamor for the movie’s release on Blu-ray, this marks the film’s highest quality release to date. Check out a couple side by side comparison shots below to see the film’s improvement in quality.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie tells the story of a giant egg being unearthed at a construction site and soon opened, releasing the terrible Ivan Ooze, who wreaks vengeance on Zordon for imprisoning him millennia ago. With Zordon dying and their powers lost, the Power Rangers head to a distant planet to find the mystic warrior Dulcea.
The HD definitely makes things noticeably lighter.

I guess they haven’t released it for digital stores as to not confuse people with the 2017 film but it is only a matter of time
Even if a bluray release is a year away I think I’d be happy just to know if it is in fact going to happen. <<>>, can’t you say yes or no? The suspense is killing me. Hopefully the blu-ray will be completely unchanged. Such as at the beginning of the movie on the DVD “Mighty Morphin” was cropped off, the words that scrolled at the beginning was changed… I want the movie to look exactly like it did in theaters in 1995 for the blu-ray.
