The biggest Power Rangers event in history is now official!
Power Morphicon 6 will take place on August 17-19, 2018. The convention will also be moving to a new, larger location in Anaheim, California – the Anaheim Convention Center, home to other popular events including Disney’s D23 Expo and Blizzard Entertainment’s Blizzcon.
Tickets for the event will officially go on sale on August 1, 2017. And with Power Morphicon 6 coinciding with the TV show’s 25th anniversary in 2018, the event promises to be Power Rangers’ fans biggest celebration of the year.
The show was first announced in an interview posted by Power Morphicon owner Scott Zillner with RJ Cyler and Becky G., stars of Saban’s Power Rangers movie (watch here).
While most fans will find the news unsurprising, fans should understand that the event is not simply on auto-pilot – with an incredible amount of time, work, and money involved in planning for the nearly 10,000 fans descending on the popular convention. Power Morphicon is currently not confirmed beyond 2018.
Power Morphicon first began in 2007 and has since become a bi-annual convention in Southern California featuring cast members, news, and panels from the past, present, and future of Power Rangers. Power Morphicon 6 in will feature events and surprises geared towards Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel, Saban’s Power Rangers movie, the brand’s incredible range of product offerings, and the show’s wide-spanning 25-year history.

When are we going to get a UK event
It happens in California because most of the actors live around there. So it’s cheaper to get them there.
It’s in California because the vast majority of Ranger actors are in California. Do what everyone else does and save up for it. We have lots of people from Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, the U.K., etc come every 2 years.
Plus, if it was held anywhere else, you’d get the same amount of guest as you would a regular con because of budget for hotel, airfare, per diem, etc.
