Before Dean Israelite was tasked to direct Lionsgate’s new Power Rangers movie, the studio welcomed a host of other directors to pitch their vision for the re-imagined film.
Each of the directors hired artists to design concept artwork for their vision of the Power Rangers suits – and one of those concept artists, Constantine Sekeries, today released their version of the suits that didn’t make the final cut.
Sekeris’ suits appear much leaner, but do share a couple similarities with the suits that Lionsgate did decide to eventually finalize: including an armored style design, and a light on the center of each Power Rangers’ torso which represents the Morphing Grid.
While Sekeris was unable to land what would become the eventual suits for the Power Rangers in Lionsgate’s newest film franchise, he has worked on other recent movies such as Batman vs. Superman, Ghostbusters, and G.I. Joe: Retaliation.
Check out the rejected suit designs below, and follow Power Rangers NOW on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest updates on the Power Rangers movie, hitting theaters on March 24.
